Leak Detection

So you think your pool is leaking ! To avoid a service call there are a couple of tests that can be done by yourself. First do a visual inspection to check for any obvious leaks in the liner, and plumbing that is above ground. The bucket test can determine whether you have a leak or it is just evaporation. If the bucket test shows that you do have a leak, the next step is to do a pump on/ pump off test. This will determine if your leak is in the structure, or in your plumbing. For a better pump off test it is better to install your winter plugs. If no leak is observed with your pump off, the leak will be in your plumbing.
